How long have you been in business?

Lodge Coaches was establish in 1920 by the grandfather of the present partners, Andrew, Robert and Christopher, who play an active part in running the company, so it is very much a family concern. We aim to give a good reliable caring service as do our drivers who are all selected for their politeness and experience.

The holiday programme is an important part of the business and is an area in which we have many years of experience. If you wish to discuss your next holiday or need any more information, please contact our office to discuss your requirements.

Is my money protected?

JW Lodge & sons Ltd are members of the bonded coach holiday group of the Confederation of Passenger Transport UK Ltd. This is a government approved consumer protection scheme. This ensures that in relation to the coach package holidays described in this brochure that the clients monies are protected by a bond which may be called upon in the unlikely event of the members insolvency. Clients are recommended to inspect the current membership certificate at our Registered office.

Will my holiday vary from what is stated in the brochure?

​You will appreciate that all our holidays are booked with hotels and venues over a year in advance. We apologise that on a very rare occasion a circumstance may occur which is beyond our control.

Is the service you provide caring and friendly?

Because we are a family run business we put much care and effort into ensuring that you have the best coach experience around. Starting with your first enquiry with our office staff to the top-class drivers who are selected for their outstanding customer care, politeness and knowledge which will make your day as enjoyable as possible.

We know that your journey is very important to you and we want to make sure that it is really just what you are looking for. We always have time for you - a formula that has led to many satisfied customers travelling with us year after year.

Do you provide a porterage service at the hotel?

At the majority of our main hotel accommodation there will be a handling service to help you with your luggage.

Can I take a wheelchair?

Customers are allowed to take their own collapsible wheelchair, Please inform us at the time of booking

Are your coaches Modern?

Our fleet of modern Mercedes coaches feature the latest advances in safety and emission levels, are fully air conditioned for your comfort, are all fitted with reclining seats, adjustable arm and footrests, double-glazing and air suspension. On all of our touring coaches we have onboard toilet/washroom, fridge and hot water boiler.

Smoking is not permitted on the coaches but we make regular comfort stops. All vehicles comply with the latest regulations concerning safety and accident protection and are all maintained to the highest standard possible.

Will my holiday hotel be good quality and value?

We choose our hotels to offer levels of value, quality, comfort and service, to which our customers have become accustomed. Usually these are 3, 4 or 5 star standard ratings. We always try to ensure that our hotels consistently maintain high standards of accommodation, meals, service and personal attention that we expect of them.

On all European Tours please note that hotels may serve the traditional and locals specialities of the area. There may not be a choice of menu but a vegetarian meal is always included. Also some hotels may wish you to choose your dinner menu the evening before or morning of the actual day.

When do your brochures come out?

Our day excursions brochure is released in March and Holidays brochure comes out in November. 

Do you have any baggage limitations?

Due to space limitations on board the tour coach and because of health and safety issues relating to our employees, you are asked to keep luggage to one medium sized suitcase 20" x 28" and weighing no more than 18 kilos per person together with hand luggage which can be stowed safely under your seat on the coach. What can I expect when travelling with you?

We provide comprehensive pick-up routes, no interchanges and no overnight land travel.

 

Accepted Payment Types

We accept debit or credit cards over the phone or cash paid in person at our office.
